Extra-ordinary Minister of the Eucharist (EME)
Some parishioners are officially designated as a EMEs. These persons are mandated by the Archdiocese after completion of sessions in catechesis training. Persons involved in this ministry represent the entire Body of Christ as they offer the food provided to us by Jesus, to sustain us on our faith journey, and to deepen the bond of oneness that we share as God's people. Persons serve in this ministry at Mass, to the homebound, and when necessary, to persons in hospitals.

Lectors
Lectors are proclaimers of God's Word at Parish liturgies. Persons in this ministry serve as official, mandated representatives of the Church. A catechetical training program is required, along with a mandation by the Archdiocese. Persons serving in this role are not only proclaimers of the word at liturgies, but are living symbols of the word, an instrument of the word that the Lord shares to nourish His people. If you are interested in becoming a proclaimer of God's word for St. Bernadette Church, please contact the Parish Office at (402) 731-4694.

Ushers
Ushers plays a vital part in the orderly functioning of the liturgy. They help with the seating of parishioners, the collection of the offertory, guidance of people during Communion and, after the Masses, the general picking up of the church in preparation of the next Mass. They are also the ones' that greet us before and after masses.

Music Ministry
The music ministry is an important aspect of our Liturgical life, especially at our Sunday liturgies. Musicians, cantors and the choir add a dimension to our masses. As St. Augustine said, "those who sing pray twice." Every parishioner is invited to sing as part of the congregation. If God has given you the gift of music in a special way, then we invite you to share your talents with us. Call the music representative on the Liturgy Committee.
